25mm Block Mount

The 25mm profile provides a slim, understated appearance. It works particularly well for smaller prints, groups of images, gallery-style arrangements and spaces where a clean, minimal finish is preferred.

35mm Block Mount

The 35mm profile creates a deeper, more substantial appearance and a stronger shadow line against the wall. It is a good choice for larger prints, photographs, posters and statement pieces.

Is Block Mounting Suitable for Valuable Artwork?

Block mounting is a permanent mounting process. The print is bonded to the board using a vacuum press, so it is generally not recommended for valuable, original, limited-edition or sentimental artwork where preservation is important.

For these pieces, we recommend one of our traditional or conservation framing options instead.

We also recommend supplying prints without lamination wherever possible. Laminated prints can trap small pockets of air during the mounting process, which may result in bubbles or an uneven surface.
